"Half Day Seminar" on the occasion of the 70 years of bilateral relations between Italy and Indonesia

The Embassy of Italy; the Italian Cultural Institute; Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia; and Eijkman Institute for Molecular Biology held a "Half Day Seminar" on the occasion of the 70 years of bilateral relations between Italy and Indonesia.

The Chairman of Eijkman Institute for Molecular Biology, Prof. Amin Soebandrio, MD, PhD, Clin. Microbiologist  gave the opening speech continued with a presentations from Prof. Ocky Karna Radjasa, MSc, PhD, Director of Research and Community Services, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia and Mr. Giovanni Brignone, Charge d’Affaires a.i. – the Embassy of Italy in Indonesia.

In this seminar, two distinguished Italian scientists were presenting their talks:

1. Mario Giordano, PhD from Marche Polytechnic University, Italy presented his topic on "Algae and CO2: A Love and Hate Story"

2. Elena Cattaneo, PhD from University of Milano, Italy, with her strong and touching presentation on "The Strength of Research, from the Ancient Gene to the Modern Society"

The distinguished guests were welcomed by Eijkman Institute's Chairman, Prof. Amin Soebandrio and the institute's management.
