Minister of Foreign Affairs, Retno Marsudi, Visited Eijkman Institute

On 7 April 2016, Minister of Foreign Affairs Republic of Indonesia, Retno Marsudi visited Eijkman Institute. Prof. Amin Soebandrio and Minister Marsudi discussed several core research such as Forensic DNA in relation to human trafficking and illegal trading of Indonesian wildlife, human population genetic studies where genetic anthropology could be used to solve problems colliding with cultural aspects, and emerging infectious diseases in regards to issues about public health. Ministry of Foreign Affairs put great interests and attention to those three topics, all of which are in accordance to main responsibility and function (Tugas Pokok dan Fungsi/TUPOKSI) of the ministry.
